This past October my buddy Ryan and I were headed out for what would be our last big ride before winter hit. We had ridden all day. We were about 2 miles out from the hotel that we were staying at for the night. We were riding at approximately 45 mph / 72 km/h, next thing I know I am rolling down the middle of the road. The first thing I thought was, “what the hell was that?”, then I realized I had been hit. An SUV drove right through me pushing my bike out from underneath me. The SUV missed Ryan and as he saw it fly by, he saw my bike sliding down the road in his rearview. I ended up breaking my arm and two bones in my back. My bike, a 78 Honda CB750, that I'd built over the past 5 years, totalled. All things considered, I feel lucky to escape with the injuries I sustained. My SA1NT denim and the other protective (less badass) gear that I was wearing no doubt saved me from severe bodily damage. Without wearing SA1NT this would have been much worse.
